Dr. Fifer is a former Commander in the United States Navy.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester, NY, and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. He served an internship in General Surgery from the Naval Medicine Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, and a residency in Urology from Tulane University in New Orleans.
