Dr. Chon received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, then earned her medical degree from George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington DC. She served her residency at the University of Maryland, and a fellowship at Tower Institute of Continence, Cedars Sinai Medical Center
