Dr. Murshed is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He earned his medical degree in 1987 from Dhaka University in Bagladesh, then received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Medical Physics from Louisiana State University in 1992. He served a residency in Internal Medicine at Ohio Valley Medical Center; a residency in Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Institute, and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama where he was named Chief Resident.

Dr. Murshed has authored an internationally reviewed Radiation Oncology textbook, offering extensive experience in multi-disciplinary clinical management of patients and coordination of clinical research.
