Dr. Brian D. Hale is a board-certified urologist in Tampa, FL, who is part of the Advanced Urology Institute. In this article, we will discuss why Dr. Hale chose urology as a specialty and the advantages of being a urologist.
Patient Satisfaction in Urology
Dr. Hale loves being a urologist because most of the patients he sees can be treated successfully. Urology has many treatments and procedures that can help patients with their urological conditions, whether it is medically or surgically. As a result, patients are often very satisfied with the care they receive from their urologist.
Work-Life Balance
Urologists have a better work-life balance than some other medical specialties. While they do have emergencies like any physician, they do not have as many emergency conditions that require constant attention. Dr. Hale enjoys this aspect of his job because he is able to spend more time at home with his family.
Surgical and Medical Skills
Dr. Hale went into urology because he was interested in surgery, and during his training, he spent most of his time in the operating room. However, he also appreciates the medical side of urology, which allows him to talk with patients during the day and still perform surgeries. This combination of surgical and medical skills allows him to provide comprehensive care to his patients.
Advanced Urology Institute
Advanced Urology Institute is the largest urology practice in Florida, with multiple locations throughout the state, including Tampa. Their team of experienced urologists, including Dr. Brian Hale, is dedicated to providing high-quality care to their patients. If you are in need of urological care, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Advanced Urology Institute.
TRANSCRIPTION:
My name is Brian Hale, I’m a board certified urologist working with Advanced Urology Institute.
One of the nice things about urology is that most of the patients that we see we can actually treat and help and we don’t have many things that we can’t fix for the patients and whether it’s medically or surgically. Yes they are and again I think it comes down to that a lot of the things that we do we can actually be successful in treating the patients and then the patients are happy and we’re happy because of that and another thing is that urologists have a better work life balance and we have emergencies like any physician but we don’t have so many emergency conditions we have to treat that we’re constantly away from home. You know I went into urology because of surgery and when you’re in training that’s pretty much all you’re doing. You have a little bit of clinic time but mostly you’re in the OR because that’s the skill you’re trying to learn but when you come out though there’s the medical side and I actually do like that side as well.
I think I’m very happy that I’m able to do that medical side and talk with patients in
the daytime and still have my surgery as well, it’s kind of the best of both worlds.
