My name is Brian Hale. I’m a board-certified urologist working with Advanced Urology Institute. For fun, I probably hurt my shoulder from skiing, so it’s kind of changed things recently. But normally what I do is paddleboard. I used to windsurf. I came here, actually, probably to windsurf because this is one of the better places.
Tarpon Springs, Howard Park, is one of the better windsurfing places in Florida. And so that was my initial thing. I used to take my trailer with all my gear to work and then go afterwards and try to, if the wind was blowing, try to windsurf for an hour or two. But over time, I started playing golf and doing less windsurfing, so it took me away from my family.
For golf, I could take my kids in the golf cart with me. It was easier to bring my kids with me. But now I’m doing paddleboarding, and it puts me out in the water again. My kids can do it. My wife can do it with me. And so we’ve done a lot of that in the last two or three years.
